Things to Do in Edmonds
Whether you’re looking for an expansive and reputable visual or performance art scene, an adventure on the Salish Sea, or a unique shopping experience, this charming coastal city has it all — and more.
Art is, quite simply, in the DNA of Edmonds. It seems that everyone you meet here is a sculptor, a muralist, a musician, or just returning from a trip to the kiln. Artists living in close proximity inspire one another and create a culture of originality that is palpable. That all being said, it’s probably no surprise that Edmonds is proud to hold the state’s first Creative District. Some of our favorite creative venues in Edmonds include Edmonds Center for the Arts, Cascadia Art Museum, and Graphite Arts Center.
The Edmonds ferry terminal is the place to behold (or better yet, ride) one of the famous Washington State ferries. Watch the large ships chug to and fro across Puget Sound between Edmonds and Kingston on Whidbey Island. Board on foot or drive aboard. You might even see a whale or two if you’re lucky!
Downtown Edmonds is a shopper’s paradise for those who prefer quality goods you won’t find in a big box store. Its storefronts are lined with endless boutiques and galleries, all within walking distance of one another. Whether you’re in search of a unique treasure or you just like to shop, Edmonds is a great place to expand your retail exploration. Some of our favorites include The Curious Nest, HouseWares, and Musicology Co.
