Granite Falls has a rich and proud history in logging, mining, and railroad work. Every October, the town celebrates its golden era of steam trains that brought ore and timber from the Cascades to port along the Everett and Monte Cristo Railway. The celebration includes a parade, a market, food trucks, and several activities for kids and adults to choo-choo-se from.
