The Net Shed “Hooks” New Customers with the Catch of the Day
The Net Shed is not your grandparent's fishmonger (but it kinda is). Buy fresh imported cuts of bluefin tuna or oysters by the pound and enjoy seaside dining on the Everett Waterfront promenade that has been receiving so much attention lately for its glow up. Get here by walking across the pedestrian footbridge from Grand Avenue, or by sailing, or by biking in. It's time to get your fish mongered and The Net Shed is ready to deliver the freshest catch of the day.
One thing is for sure. The Everett Waterfront has both glowed up and is continuing to glow up.
The Port of Everett is on their game. Besides their new foot ferry route to Whidbey Island, their new waterfront trolley system, and hosting recent World Cup festivities, the Port is drawing reliable amounts of foot traffic for their new lineup of restaurants.
Among the wineries, taquerias, brewpubs, froyo and dim sum spots is a standout maritime experience.
The Net Shed hearkens back to Everett’s maritime past, an era where you could buy fresh fish right from the fishing boats, right on the docks.
At the Net Shed you can either buy fresh fish and seafood by the pound a la the fishmonger experience, or you can order at the counter, restaurant-style.
The Net Shed isn’t your grandma’s fish and chips place (not throwing shade, because traditional fish and chips places are definitely where it’s at—get me a bottle of vinegar, hand-cut fries, and a three-piece meal and let’s go). This is modern, more elevated seafood. Dishes incorporate poke, caviar, and oyster shooters in shot glasses of cocktail sauce.
Add shaded south-facing outdoor seating next to a marina of green water and bobbing sailboats and you’re in business.
The Net Shed manages to straddle the line between formal and informal, highbrow and accessible. As such, you could take your work buddies or your parents, but it would also make a good date spot. It hits a lot of notes.
Whether you're stopping in for a quick oyster shooter, picking up sushi-grade tuna for dinner, or lingering over the marina views, The Net Shed is another reason Everett's waterfront is becoming a destination worth returning to.
Come for the catch of the day—you just might find yourself hooked on the waterfront, too.
